1995

The humble beginning occurred in the year 1995 with one inmate in a merge rented quarters.

1998

It was when the contribution of Samarpana was recognised by Dinamani-Daily paper in the year 1998 with a clear headline, the limelight was cast on our organisation.

2001

The present centre was bought and constructed in 1999 and a new leaf was turned in the history of Samarpana. The New residential care premises inaugurated with all amenities for the mentally challenged / special children and adults to learn and prosper in the year 2001.

2003

Subsequently the day care centre was also inaugurated in the year 2003. The best in class facilities were integrated into a well-planned premises in the year 2004 and about 45 mentally challenged children and adults were admitted under our care. They were blessed to receive residential care, special education, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, vocational training and improve with each passing day.

2014

The new facility to provide residence for senior citizens was inaugurated in the year 2014 with 35 loving grandfathers and grandmothers becoming residents of the facility.

2017

Another community based day care centre for children with special needs was opened in Otteri along with Dr.Ambedkar Youth Welfare Association in the year 2017. We are proud to share the news that about 15 children with special needs are provided with a safe house when their primary care givers are out for work.

At present the Samarpana family stands tall and proud with about 75 direct beneficiaries with access to various facilities required for their wellbeing. All these achievements were results of your wishful thoughts and donations our dear patrons.
